Families use the muhurat dates and puja vidhi on this site to plan real events, a wedding, a griha pravesh, a shraddh. That is exactly what we hope for. It also means we owe you a clear statement of how far this material goes on its own, because a tithi read off a screen is not the same thing as a muhurat chosen for your family.
Everything published on suratpanditji.in is written for a general reader. It does not take account of your kundli, your gotra, your family's parampara, the customs of your region or the specifics of your situation. Two households can hold the same festival on different days and both be correct, and a vidhi described here in eight steps may run to twelve in your family. None of that makes either version wrong.
Tithi, nakshatra, Choghadiya and muhurat timings on this site are calculated for Surat, Gujarat, unless a page states another city. Panchang timings depend on sunrise and sunset, so they shift with location. A tithi that begins mid-afternoon in Surat begins at a different clock time in Delhi or in Dubai, and a festival that falls on one date in Gujarat can fall on the next in Bengal because the two follow different reckonings.
The dates and timings here are drawn from established panchang sources and checked before publication. Even so, treat them as a reliable starting point for planning, not as the final word. Before you book a hall, print invitations or buy tickets, confirm the muhurat with Pandit Ji for your date, your city and your family's tradition. It takes one phone call.

Regional variants exist for almost all of them, in wording, in the number of verses and in the order of lines, and yours may differ from ours in small ways. Where a reading is disputed we follow the version most widely recited in this region. Any transliteration into Roman script is an aid to pronunciation, and for recitation the Devanagari text remains the authority.
